Barcelona will once again take centre stage in international motorsport in November 2026. This time, the spotlight belongs to Ferrari and one of the most important events in its racing calendar: the Finali Mondiali.
From 17 to 23 November, the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya will host this event for the very first time, bringing the Ferrari Challenge season to a close and gathering the Ferrari racing community from around the world in a single venue.
For one week, on-track action and a programme of Ferrari-related activities will transform Barcelona into one of Europe’s key destinations for motorsport enthusiasts.
Barcelona Hosts the Ferrari Finali Mondiali 2026
From 17 to 23 November at the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya
The programme will include the final round of the Ferrari Challenge Europe, bringing to a close a season that has visited some of the continent’s most iconic racing circuits.
Practice sessions, qualifying and races will take place over several days before culminating on Sunday with the Finali Mondiali race.
Throughout the week, the competition will be accompanied by a variety of activities for Ferrari owners and enthusiasts, extending the event well beyond the action on the track.
The First Ferrari Finali Mondiali at the Circuit
Although the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya has previously hosted Ferrari Challenge Europe, 2026 will mark the first time the Finali Mondiali is held at the Catalan circuit.
Known for its combination of high-speed corners, long straights and demanding technical layout, the circuit now becomes part of the history of an event that has also travelled beyond Europe, with previous editions held in Abu Dhabi and Daytona.
In Spain, Valencia hosted the grand finale in 2009, 2010 and 2012. Barcelona now opens a new chapter for the Finali Mondiali, further strengthening the city’s position within the international motorsport calendar.
What Is the Ferrari Challenge Trofeo Pirelli Europe?
More Than Three Decades of Ferrari Racing
The Ferrari Challenge Trofeo Pirelli Europe is Ferrari’s one-make championship dedicated to customer racing. Created in 1993 with the 348 Challenge, it has spent more than three decades allowing drivers of different experience levels to compete behind the wheel of cars developed exclusively for the circuit.
Since the original 348 Challenge, nine generations of Ferrari Challenge cars have shaped the championship’s history. The 360 Challenge, F430 Challenge and 488 Challenge represent some of the milestones in an evolution that reaches its 34th edition in 2026.
The championship brings together experienced competitors and emerging talents united by the same passion for Ferrari and motorsport. In 2025, more than 70 European drivers took part, reflecting the scale Ferrari Challenge has reached within the Italian manufacturer’s racing programme.
The Ferrari 296 Challenge: Built for the Track
The current generation of the championship features the Ferrari 296 Challenge, a model based on the 296 GTB and developed exclusively for Ferrari Challenge competition.
Its 3.0-litre twin-turbo V6 engine delivers 700 hp, supported by a lightweight architecture and advanced aerodynamics derived from GT racing. Ferrari describes it as the most advanced Challenge car ever built and the closest, in terms of performance, to the Ferrari 296 GT3.
Technology, precision and performance come together in a car designed to bring Ferrari’s racing experience directly to the circuit.
The Road to Barcelona: Ferrari Challenge Europe 2026
Before arriving in Barcelona, the 2026 Ferrari Challenge Trofeo Pirelli Europe season will visit some of Europe’s most prestigious racing circuits.
The championship will begin at Le Castellet before continuing to Mugello, Spielberg, Le Mans, Portimão and Budapest. Barcelona will host the seventh and final round of the European calendar, combining the championship finale with the celebration of the Finali Mondiali.
This journey makes the arrival at the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya the culmination of a season contested at some of Europe’s most renowned motorsport venues.
